What information do we collect?

Any personal information Gaugebelt Pty Ltd, (hereon in referred to as ‘Gaugebelt’, ’we’, ‘our’, ‘us’) has about you, you specifically supplied. In the case of ‘tradies’, this may include personal information that users have supplied on your behalf, which you may ask us to change or remove at any time. We also track anonymous analytics information via Google Analytics and New Relic as well as our own systems.

We collect information in order for you to have an account that allows you to participate on the website, as well as information necessary to make the service work.

Registration Information

When registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter details such as:

  • * The City/Town you’re located within
  • * ABN (Australian Business Number)

We primarily utilise the services of Heroku (you can view their security and privacy policies)and Amazon S3 (you can view their privacy and other policies)for data centre services and storage and Mailchimp (you can view their privacy policy)for email services. As is the nature of cloud services, this means that some information may be stored in multiple locations across the World. Amazon is a member of the Safe Harbor program, however Heroku is not yet.

We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others rights, property, or safety. However, non-personally identifiable and aggregated visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.
